It's new toy day, and this time it's a portable projector! This thing is cool as shit! It's the size of a can of coke, has HDMI input, WiFi, and (after some minor modifications*) runs Android. This will typically be used for streaming movies and TV shows when traveling, but the possibilities are endless.
Out of the box, this thing has a gimped OS front-end that can't be updated. This isn't unexpected, as a lot of Android devices are like that. However, if you go to Settings > About and click on Android Release five times then type in (this month's rotating Anker admin code) "gmstest0924", the system will update and install the Play Store so new front ends and updates can be installed.
This week we'll be setting up scary Halloween videos, but I'm thinking Covid LAN parties after!
