The right side of my skull is clearly trying to kill me today. It's likely due from lack of sleep. A word of advice for anyone that enjoys the comforts of an uninterrupted slumber: don't have kids. On the plus side, however, a shipment of Merlot soaked oak barrel wood came in today. It arrived just in time to make a batch of beef jerky on the smoker. This stuff smells fantastic! Since I quit drinking a while back, the smell of wine on these really brings back nostalgic memories. Hopefully the smoke flavoring they add to beef will be worthwhile...
