I'm so happy that there are alternatives to YouTube. Odysee, for example, is starting to gather channels that I routinely watch. Hopefully that trend continues, and a full platform switch will be possible.
I've done everything to modify my YouTube experience to make it palatable. In its current state, it is quite possibly the worst thing on the internet. Alternative front-ends, ad-blockers, automatic section skippers, speeding up videos 1.25x, and RSS feeds make the curated video watching much less of a headache. I don't envy those that use vanilla YouTube and simply rely on their front page of recommended videos.
Competitors in this space are a breath of fresh air. Obvious censorship issues aside, knocking the behemoth down a peg would do Google some good.
