DuckDuckGo came out this week saying they're going to begin filtering "Russian disinformation." That term has been thrown around a lot lately, and I'm not a fan of companies not treating its users like intelligent adults. If they're filtering simple news feeds, then what's next? I trusted DDG as an alternative to the big-box corporate options, and that faith has been shaken.

Awesome Privacy is a great source for all things privacy and security. They list a few search engine alternatives, but I ended up self-hosting Whoogle Search at search.mcwain.net. Now my phone and desktop have a new default.

One more tool separated from the almighty corporate overlords.
