Every time we pick up a new Roku device, the first thing I need to do is fix the shitty buttons. They're designed to be "quick access to the apps you love!", but they're nothing more than annoyances that need to die in a fire.

Guitar picks and credit cards are great for opening these things, while kapton tape (or equivalent) and razor blades take care of the rest. With less than ten minutes worth of effort, we have a useful remote to control our little media spying machine.
